Tara W. Pimco began her career at 19, quickly mastering hair artistry under the mentorship of Albie Mulcahy at John Sahag Salon on Madison Avenue. As the youngest national educator and platform artist in the U.S., she became known for her dry cutting technique, innovative color, and bridal beauty. Tara built a loyal clientele in NYC and Monmouth County through her unique approach to hair design.

In 2002, she began freelancing and opened a small hair and makeup studio. She simultaneously worked as a private hair stylist to Patti Springsteen for 10 years. In 2009, Tara expanded, and opened Hot Mess Studio in Asbury Park. The brand, over 15 years, grew into a popular 6,000-square-foot full-service salon specializing in bridal hair and makeup. Now booking over 200 weddings a year.

In 2024, Tara closed the Asbury Park location and opened a smaller studio in Belmar, where she now resides. She also founded the Belmar Chamber of Commerce, further strengthening her community ties. Tara is deeply committed to supporting her team at Hot Mess Studio, her family, and her clients, as she continues to grow her brand and influence in the industry.
